This section is dedicated to discussing Microsoft Window releated topics.
Topics releated to using assembly with Windows-specific high-level languages still belong to High Level Languages section. General: - examples from FASM Win32 version - contain examples of using various Win32 and Win64 formats - Win XP Lite - Faster smaller Windows install tweaker, without lot of useless crap Win32: - PE from scratch - Useful to learn structure of PE executables - LE from scratch - Linear Executable format, otherwise unsupported by FASM - Win32 Drivers - discussion on coding Win32 drivers in FASM - DIB Win32/OpenGL executable without any macros - Smallest WinXP PE program (started here) - just a curiousity Win64: - FDBG - Win64 debugger written in FASM - Win64 drivers NOTE: This thread is just started. Please post links to interesting threads, external articles, and tools you think that should be here. Your posts will be deleted after links are included. Could someone make PE+ (PE64) from scratch, and/or describe differences between PE and PE+?

I think your link could probably be better placed in the new scientica's thread, it is not really a FAQ and also perhaps it no longer works on latest Windows versions that "easy" (working steps are here, but r22 was using WinXP x64 at that time).
What do you think? BTW, that link was really in Main's FAQ, or it was in "Important/interesting threads" thread? |
