i was playing with the listing feature and tried it on win32 fasm sources. it produces a whopping 20,000+ line source file! (including blank lines) i removed all of the listing itself, leaving only actual mnemonics. as i was looking through it i thought about how nice it would be if somehow someone could comment this monster file, helping us to follow the flow of the assembler as it works. unfortunately i myself dont understand enough assembly to produce any useful comments

zip contains fasm.asm which unpacks to 539kb

Well, lately i have had a style of coding like this with assembly:

Code:
;-- -------------------------------------------FUNCION1-----------------------------------------
CODE
;---------STUFF FOLLOWING CODE IS DOING----------
MORE CODE
;-----Description of what it's gonna do after that------
Code that was described in the comment above

Perhaps you could try that?
