Since in C# (.NET) you can assign a png to a button, it is possible. But I couldn't tell you if uses its own mapping routine with owner draw, or converts to bitmap I've never really looked into it.

sleepsleep, check out miranda-im source code, you will find how to convert png into dib (device independent bitmap) in memory and then it's quite easy to put dib onto button, that's all
ps: c++/c code ps: i've already made buttons based on gif and bitmaps, now you give me idea to write png support, but png decoding requiring zlib and pnglib, they are pretty huge |
