The VBScript RegExp has been available since version 1.0 if i'm not wrong, but the 5.6 version is much better. But, the way you've said "calling it from VBRun" is slightly incorrect. I'm not a COM guy so I may be wrong here, but the progid for the regexp COM object is VBScript.RegExp. Anybody who knows COM can access it. I haven't seen examples of COM in FASM, so I can't say anythin about COM.

Plus, "COM" is somethin that gives me chills, I simply hate the word "COM". it's more confusing than simpler. But it's a binary standard, so one should be able to use COM from fasm. I haven't done COM yet, so I can't provide any examples. Any COM guys here, please write some beginner tutorials on COM in FASM assembly.

I haven't read the tutorial so I can't comment on the quality It uses masm but I don't imagine you would have problems coverting it to fasm.
