Hi Embrance,
unfortunatly, it wont even run under win98 because it whould like to use unreal mode, after some modifications it could use dpmi.

winxp is another game to play... it restricts many things by default like port handling.

Unreal mode is unpossible (hehe) with a v86 handler, because unreal mode requires a 386 (32-bits). A v86 handler emulates an 8086, so it's not possible to run the kevlar engine without modifications. Windows uses a v86 handler. The only way to run it (easily) is under something like Bochs, Qemu, or another x86 emulator.

I wonder is DosBox could handle it. I'll have to try it.

Heck, you can't even run it in DOS unless you're booting without an EMS driver.

Supposed to work, but did not test it.

That's my default Wink

BUT: it has at least 2 bugs:

- It does NOT run on FreeDOS booted from HD (runs on FreeDOS booted
from floppy), both have FDCONFIG.SYS and FDAUTO.BAT almost empty,
runs into a HARD freezer at black screen
- If it runs, it runs well, but incorrectly restores screen (50 lines) on exit
