Are there any plans to improve the fasmw editor or is this being delegated to fresh?

I'm particularily interested in code-folding feature.

I really like the vertical selection ability of the FASMW editor.
I that available in Fresh? I wish more editors had that ability.
It comes in handy for languages that don't have block
commenting and other things.
What is the license on the code for the FASMW editor?
(In case someone else should like to incorporate vertical selection.)
Joe

Hi TronDoc.

As far as Fresh uses the same editor (AsmEdit) as FASMW, Fresh have vertical selection. For now it is available only by keyboard -> [Alt+Insert] key (the same as in FASMW). There is a indicator in the status bar too: "=" or "||" symbol.
Later I will add this to the menu, but you understand that it is only pre-alpha version and I want to make more important functions before that.

You can read license aggreament in the Fresh main directory.

BTW: Any help is highly appreciated, so if there is something that you want to imrove, simply write to me (to avoid double coding) and make it. Smile

BTW2: IMO, Privalov will keep FASMW in the FASM distributions, because it is so small and simple and demonstrate FASM power. But I don't know about his plans about improvements. There are some bugs in AsmEdit control, they will be fixed in all cases.

Regards.

Thank you for the infos.
I have not yet installed Fresh.
I am a total beginner at w32 asm; so
I don't think I'll be much help coding.
You never know though....maybe.
Take care.
Joe
