I got a 'real' domain name, mattst88.com. I've updated my profile and edited the first post to reflect it. The old no-ip address will still work, but you should use the new domain name anyway.

I've switched away from Ajax. The searching is now done client side which should make it faster since it doesn't have to query the server.

Hi mattst88!
Your reference page has some error on the XML.
Opera can't open it.

Thanks

matt,
Your page is not viewable in Firefox and, I assume Opera and Safari though I haven't looked yet. You are serving your page as application/xhtml+xml. Internet Explorer does not understand xhtml so defaults to html, which is why it is viewable there. Modern browsers do understand xhtml and cannot interpret your pages. The default of XML and XHTML is to display the error only. Therefore, your page is only viewable in IE, and with 18 errors. It is nowhere near valid xml or xhtml.

EDIT: Apparently only the link referenced in the first post is the one with the problem. Your main page and some of the links do validate and are proper xhtml. However, as explained above, IE does not know xhtml, so the first line, the xml declaration, will cause IE to go into 'quirks mode' which is a very bad thing. How much it affects IE users, I haven't looked yet (I use FreeBSD).
