What they do? Is it hard to code such program?

I wonder if that program even works, slowing down a game w/o affecting fps ?!?!? and if the game is so slow that you can see the bullets coming, how can you dodge it? weird, maybe RedGhost knows answer to this Wink

Heh, that "Speed Gear" program sounds like a whole bunch of bullshit... but it uses fancy techy-sounding words, so it must be gibson-good!!!

Well, I tested a bit (not with games) and it really speeded up the system.
I wonder, does it damage anything? If not it is *really* worth.

It doesn't make your system faster, but it fucks with some timers, which fucks up animation and stuff.

Also, it installs a hook DLL that does a lot of weird stuff, including VirtualProtect and FlushInstructionCache, but I didn't look too close at it.

Oh, and it seems that it doesn't unhook properly when you quit the app, the icon animation when contacts go on/offline in Miranda is still fucked up even though I exited the app.
