Is there a better PE/COM optimizer then UPX?
Hope there is one.. I made a funny demo in basic language  qbasic.. and now i want to optimize the exe
I have already made one loader but the loader executable is a little big. I attached it here.

There are plenty on exetools (use google). The most widely respected are arguably fsg and mew.

UPX 2.90 unstable!!! (even .COM under Win32 is broken now) has support for LZMA (i.e., from 7-ZIP), so you can test that (not distribute, it's buggy!) and see if you like it. It does compress DJGPP programs much better now.
P.S. Sorry for such a strong warning, but I wouldn't want you to think it's safe to use for everyday tasks. Use UPX 2.02 (which is the latest stable) for distributions. Last edited by rugxulo on 06 Nov 2006, 20:55; edited 1 time in total |

Earlier UPX isn't so unstable. Can't wait for the latest to become stable though.
