Is there a better PE/COM optimizer then UPX?

Hope there is one..
I made a funny demo in basic language Laughing qbasic.. and now i want to optimize the exe


I have already made one loader but the loader executable is a little
big. I attached it here.

See here for DOS packers (assuming I understood your request correctly). Else, go visit PE Compact (student version, I assume).

There are plenty on exetools (use google). The most widely respected are arguably fsg and mew.

UPX 2.90 unstable!!! (even .COM under Win32 is broken now) has support for LZMA (i.e., from 7-ZIP), so you can test that (not distribute, it's buggy!) and see if you like it. It does compress DJGPP programs much better now. Smile

P.S. Sorry for such a strong warning, but I wouldn't want you to think it's safe to use for everyday tasks. Use UPX 2.02 (which is the latest stable) for distributions.

Earlier UPX isn't so unstable. Can't wait for the latest to become stable though.
