I've tested menuet on pc's ranging from pentium 2 with 192mb sdram to
a celeron 2.6ghz.256 sdram: They all run hot-- like smoking hot after 10 minutes all the fans are blowing hard. Why is this?
Is this normal? Is it dangerous to continue running at that point?
Thanks for insight.
Paul

Could be a few things:

1) Asm code is blazin' fast Shocked

2) Since you are from NY maybe you're having a surge of power from your electric company and sooner or later we're gonna experience another black out. Rolling Eyes

and 3) Ville has secretly coded instructions targeting intel's processors. In hopes they are completely destroyed so he can once and for all start up his own processor selling business (that is in the works). Twisted Evil

or I guess you could say nothing is really wrong at all, you're gonna be okay!

gee Torrey,
Thanks for your assurance;now I feel so much better!
I figured out the problem...if you do something bad like execute an invalid opcode or sumthin-- it stresses the cpu big time.
later

Really? That surprises me. I thought it might be that the 'other Os's' may be using some kind of power management, lowering the clock speed at times of inactivity.
