Hi Tomasz,

Would it be possible to add a feature where we can brand the ELF executable at assembly time, so that the header already has the correct 'brand', rather than having to use 'brandelf' on FreeBSD, 'elf2olf' on OpenBSD, etc to mark the executable post assembly?

eg. format ELF64 brand FreeBSD, or format ELF brand Linux, etc.

Default should be as currently is...

I personally think that only FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, Solaris, SCO, Linux , BeOS and SYSV brandings would be required?

Personally it doesn't bother me too greatly, since I mainly use Makefiles, but nice to have.

I think the keyword "brand" is unneded since it doesn't overlap with any option and since it may break the syntax a little (i.e. we don't use "format ELF type executable" or a posible future feature "format ELF type dynamic" which it should be "format ELF dynamic").

I think it would be better to have the "brand" seperate from the "format", like the "heap" and "stack", etc.
Code:
format ELF executable
brand linux

such that the brand can be specified as an integer if there is no constant for it.
Of course, there may be problems with the strings, but this is just my idea...
