Im wanting/trying -- "trying" being the keyword.. but more of wanting since i havnt started yet..

to write a joystick driver -- perferably usb.. what should i do/read to get started? i know theres gonna be a lot to do, but thats np. im looking for documentation, tutorials if there is any, etc. etc. thanks for the help!
