Is there any way to force Linux to run binary files as machine code? It keeps giving me "cannot execute binary file", even when I'm using root.

(I'm using Fedora Core 5 distro, currently)

Plain binary file or an ELF executable file?

This is most likely because you need to set the file to executable permissions.

Code:
chmod +x your_exe

Check Kernel Configuration (where executable files or something)

There you can select binary file support

I think its what mattst88 said..

It does not matter if u are root, a user or god himself.. First you must make the file executable.. and then u can run it. Its only after that, that it matters which user u are and if u can actually execute the script/program

Write a little ELF program that loads (mmap() seems like a decent choice) a binary file and executes it...
