I don't get the time to work on FASM because of the work I do in MASM but it would be useful for me to know the current and future capacity with FASM to use prebuilt COFF format libraries.

If anyone has the time or if Tomasz can be bothered, could you explain what FASM is able to do in this area as i try and support FASM in places where it is subject to review or criticism.

Hi Hutch,

Fasm can use without any problem prebuilt COFF format libraries:

The attachment of my tool scanner V3.12 contains examples:

Also, you can use the masm32 library with Fasm:

Using non-decorated import libs with Fasm:

The linker Polink provided by Pelles C package can be used with Fasm:

Vortex,

Thanks for the technical data, it is very useful to know how advanced FASM is becoming and the use of static libraries is a major step forward in good software engineering.

If you ever need it, the code for l2inc with variations can produce the full decorated names for STDCALL functions in system DLLs and i would be happy enough to tweak a version to do what you require if you can give me the required syntax to output.
