Hi,

The DOS command "mem" tells me 260kB of conventional memory is used.
How can I now figure out where this used memory areas are located so that I prevent to overwrite them. It's pretty simple to figure out how many free memory is available, but this is only one half I would need, I really want to now the addresses where my free memory starts and end.

Is there a way to get somehow the information what memory areas are used, i.e. by DOS drivers?

Regards,
Mysli

there are some in-theory-undocumented dos memory block headers, located XY bytes before every allocated block (like your program's area). so you just need to find description of this structure somewhere. (?ralph brown?)
