Who doesn't already have an IRC client?

Hell, take those people and subtract the people who can find an IRC client. If you're still left, we don't want you in the channel. Razz

Last time I was on the IRC I used telnet. I don't recall the protocol being very complicated.

Anyways we have a perfectly good message board to communicate on, why is a deprecated internet relay chat room so important?

If you want real-time communication try instant messaging or more accessible chat rooms like on AIM or Yahoo.

If you want to bring back the IRC bring back 2.9k dialup modems and PC100 ram too. Just messing around, but not really Razz

Yeah r22, the IRC protocol is very simple, i used Quetannon to connect Very Happy But the annoying thing was that i got dc if i didnt respond to ping message with pong every few minutes Very Happy Would be nice if someone would make an IRC client in FASM Smile

Anyhow i thought that Chat button on top in forums (next to Search Very Happy) would be a nice feature (logging you in automaticaly with your forum nick to the fasm channel...). It might be that i miss it cose i'm just used to it from another page Very Happy

IRC is the best chat ever!
I really don't like MSN. I just use it because everybody here stopped using mIRC and are addicted to MSN Messenger.
I miss the good old times when I had dial-up connections and people at IRC was so fun.
Today, I just can find international servers on IRC working. All the good channels are empty. Sad

The idea about creating IRC client in FASM is great.
Where can I find information about IRC protocol?
