Just to add to this, you can now read/write to USB keyfob, usb floppy drives etc, with Dex4u OS, But its is slow, about 3 times slower than a normal floppy.
You can do this with out making a USB driver, for any hobby OS, by going to realmode doing int 13h and back to Pmode, you need fat16 driver as most pen drives format as this when say format FAT.

Like cd does floppy emulation, so do USB pen drives, do floppy or hdd emulation using BIOS USB driver, how it works not shore, all i know is that it does.

NOTE: You just read/write to floppy or hdd depending on emulation, using int 13h as you would in realmode.

Hello Wildwest, thank you very much to show a lot of interest for USB communication,... USB is a pretty fast way of communication, so it's obviously frustrating to use a """NON-OPTIMAL SPEED""" USB driver... What i mean is that it's always easy to do a usual&Common USB driver, but the use of this driver would be frustrating because it could not be THE FASTEST POSSIBLE DRIVER for your device!!! What is the SOLUTION??? thousands and thousands of students or kids programming and programming UNTIL they can compare all their drivers and say : """THIS DRIVER IS 30% FASTER THAN THE SECOND DRIVER IN THIS LIST OF 30 (thirty) VERY FAST USB DRIVERS"""... What are we talking about right now ? A planet 100% dedicated to USB drivers... It is a very good IDEA and I hope than soon our Earth could dedicate 100% of the thinking to code the fastest USB drivers... ... Well... Well... is really needed?? may be not needed for year 2008 or year 2009! Anyway, thank you very much to show a lot of interest for USB communication!!
