Hey, does anyone know when I "copy" the MS Office 2005 toolbar
if I can use it in my projects or do you think Microsoft will kick my
ass? Because I think it looks pretty neat and already implemented
it. Maybe it is legal if I change the graphics a bit?

Has anyone some more information for such things or detailed
information what you are allowed to and what not?

Thanks in advance Smile

If you are a poor programmer and they sue your ass, look on the bright side, you can not get blood out of a stone, also your next project needs the publicity Wink .

PS: Lindows made $20mil out of M$ suing them.

I don't think you will get in absolute trouble unless you make a MS Office clone. You should be able to use a similar section of the program. Of course, you'll get in trouble if you literally "cut" and "pasted" the toolbar. The copyright laws regarding programming are in a constant state of flux, but if you plagerize an entire program you will most likely pay for it.

However, I do agree that the publicity of the suit might fun to watch.
