I see MenuetOS as being very handy for grabbing files off a computer that won't boot to the installed OS. Any chance of NTFS support for something like this?

I think MenuetOS need her own file system and not another OS's file system. You can do MenuetFS depending on free file system, it will be great that MenuetOS will have it's own file system that will be upgrade in a monthly or so basis according to the users and programmers ideas.

Well, I agree to that you. Menuet could use, for example, FS based on JohnFound's idea on OS Construction forum (http://board.flatassembler.net/topic.php?t=18)

I thought about something like it two days ago, I got an idea that libaries should be organised by numbers and the libary name will be a property.
it could be very useful, for example, I have a directory and I have a program there, another program is having a link in her to the exucute file in that directory, if I change the directory name or position in the disc the link will be alright because it links to directory number 1 and not directory that it names "3dmark".

just an example, I hope you understood that,

Barak.

i agree with Barak, YOU should be able to set order of files/subdirectiories in directory, not only by name or by date etc...

yeah NFTS support would be great, althought I dont actually use NFTS or windows by that matter (unless I am at school) but I do boot to menuet at school and it would be awesome if I could view and write to the computers hard drive and my school network drive

but me and some friends are getting into fasm and I'll look into adding nfts support once I learn some more about fasm
