Hello im new to assembly, and i was wondering if anyone had any recommended articles/papers that i should consider reading. Ive already been reading the FASM Manual so anything besides that would be greatly appreciated.

I began with "The Art of Assembly Language Programming", really awesome book. explains more than any other book about asm, I think Wink

After that, well, just google a bit to find articles/tutorials, but first you need to know how a computer works (theoretically), so you know how to code in ASM well. I recommend that book

Just don't be shy to post on forums the Win32Asm community (it has been down these days ? Confused ), but it's a good idea to post these in more 'general' assembly programming, not targeted at a specified assembler, because you will get more responses, but nothing stops you from posting in this forum Wink

The most important things are: 1) have patience and try to enjoy or understand it. It's very important that you concentrate and really enjoy reading and learning all this stuff (it's pretty fun to me)

2) test your ideas to see what works, doesn't work, why does it work... keep testing Very Happy

3) look at others' examples, which can be very valuable

oh well, I've got a headache right now, so I can't remember what articles I read, but hopefully I'll remember by the time..

happy learning Smile
