x86 instruction set is cloned in all modern x86 architectures, only special instructions will not run on an intel cpu for example like: AMD 3dnow |

AFAIK Intel never supported 3DNow! extensions and probably never will support it. Intel released its own multimedia extension, MMX, instead.
