i heard "some people" said, 24 & 32 bit color could hurt our eyes, they said better stick with 16 bit?

well... any doctor here ?

monitor displays them to same colors anyway. IMHO you couldn't see difference between 24bit (which is same as 32bit) and 16bit colors

i disagree with this difference thing, because : (16 bit) 65535 colors are much more less than (24 bit) 16777216 colors, there is a big difference,
though it isnot posssible to show al colors on a 3 colored (rgb) crt monitor, because with the 3 basic colors, only the colors in the color triangle can be mixed

try to make color scale with 16 bit colors (for example white through blue to black). i remember that in 18bit colors (256 colors with changing 3*6 bit rgb pallette) one step (changing one of values by one) wasnt noticeable.
