Wow, my old 486 is about six feet away from me, you've probably never even used one (slooooowwwww). First 486s supposedly came out in 1989, but they were still sold well into the '90s (cheaper than Pentiums, I guess, which debuted in 1993). Ah, the good ol' days without all the gobbledegook that is forced down our throat now. (GCC 2.8.1 from early 1998 was the first to officially support Pentium optimizations. Before that it was 486 only, which basically amounted to heavy code and data alignment, nothing else!!)
Got me there Razz

I'm so old that I think those new-fangled computer whatsits are a waste of time. I wouldn't even know how to turn one on let alone actually use it for something. In my day we used to make our own fun with just two sticks and a dead 'orse. Aye, those were the good ol' days. You young whipper-snappers don't know how to live anymore.

Here's an old picture of me. Can't find any newer ones.

Look at me, holding a snake AND an alligator.

I think snakes are the real world analogue of assembly code. Sleek, beautiful, efficient and terrifying.

Maybe he got "windwakr" confused with "revolution" and somehow drew a conclusion that because the picture was taken in Florida, the person in it(me) is from there, which is wrong.

sorry revolution. this is because of the old topic about who is revolution. it sets up an interrupt in my brain, and when i see indices, the interrupt is called automatically.

I think crocs are somewhat the opposite of the real world analogue of assembly code. Ugly, unwieldy, sinister and dangerous.

The weird thing about the PS1 (and PS2 !!) is that they have ridiculously low amounts of RAM. (And I never owned those, only NES, SNES, GameBoy and GBC, JagCD, and semi-recently Lynx [broke! *sob*], GameGear, and a few retro compilations for bro's XBox 1).

Try looking here (needs recent Flash, this Mac PPC laptop of my Dad's is too old).

Long story short: Van Halen is one of the most popular bands of all time, and Eddie Van Halen is considered one of the top ten guitarists in the world. They haven't put out a studio album since you were six (!) due to a billion difficulties, but they did at least release three new songs in 2004, and they toured with Dave recently, probably gonna do a new album soon (God willing).
