not sure if i should put this here or in "heap"

does anybody else using the MSNTest from the forum get "Notification server closed connection" (thats not the exact message) when connecting.
after this has been output in the debug window, the connection attempt fails.

when trying again the same occurs, but usually logs in after a few more attempts.

Well wisepenguin as I've told you before, the NS(Notification Server) close you connection well really only one, because you can't have to sessions WITH THE SAME ACOUNT at the same time, one will be closed. ANy other question feel free to ask.

Hi,
I've used MSN(any flavor), Trillian (2.0, 3.0), Miranda (0.4) and MSN protocol has bugs and MSN server is slow and I don't like MSN at all Razz
But I'm stuck with it because I can't convert all my friends to use e-mail or IRC or whatever simpler.

Trillian as well as MSN clients - tend to send ghost messages that get lost in the network. MSN always displays message first and then trys to send it. Trillian sometimes??? checks and gives you errors. Miranda takes care of that EVERY SINGLE message arrives at the other end and when you click on "Try again" too many times - you end up spamming the other end like after one hour or two days or depends how patient the chatters are.

When Trillian and MSN clients communicate - Trillian won't update other clients name/picture/etc.
When MSN and Miranda communicate then if MSN starts the conversation - they can talk to each-other, but when Miranda starts the conversation - MSN client may or may not receive messages. But when one message goes through either way - usually??? they can speak until session closed or one end goes idle.
