Neither will mine. I didn't look at MeOS code tiehr, but since it's so slow I'm guessing that's probably what happens.

Slow is where on a 2.0GHz computer and only one app running, you sometimes see the windows redraw.

I'm using a 600MHz PIII laptop and its "flying"
I unplug it and also the ~300MHz PIII is rather fast, The problem why its so slow on 2Gigs is because either you have'nt enabled MTRR or you are using 640x480 resolution and have no proper videocard. Maybe VESA is not supported on your GFX-card? |

Nope. I've tested it on 233, 300, 450, 800, 2ghz cpus (AMD Intel Cyrix, ram - Kingston)and... I see that code is gettting better on later versions. I've tried different working videomodes, Mtrr etc. And i can say - it is slow enough. At least, W2K window redrawings are faster. But i hope, MEOS will get faster code. And bugs, bugs. Wery lot of graphic bugs(redrawing bugs - somelines stay on screen etc.)
3 times i was able to hang MEOS But what is amazing - i've sent reports about hardware, but it did not appear in list... |
