I have noticed the following in many .asm programs that I am trying to move to fasm:

number db 7 dup 0

Is there a definition in fasm that will be correct for this type of definition? If this question has been answered before now please just point me in the correct direction.

Well I have answered my own question. I was running version 1.57. When I switched to version 1.62 the problem went away.
