My parents haven't seen it yet, and they probably won't, so it's OK. But people: IMO the glowing text is UGLY. Don't use it. Period.

I agree with THEWizardGenius, the glow just makes an ugly sharp thingy that doesn't fit the fasm homepage.

IMHO glowing is for noobie web designers and people who use certain loser programs like the Yahoo! Geocities site creation program. Blech!

since we are the asm people, maybe we would use fasm to produce a directx exe file and eventually have an animated FASM logo. or with a nice screensaver to be proud of. all the executabl 100% using fasm to build.

mind u, there are difference between fasm and fresh Razz Very Happy

i suggest some ascii-art logo, using some linux utility (i think it was called "aa"), then grab screen and save as picture. it will be suitable for boith text and graphic "modes" of FASM and looks assembly-ly Smile

What about us Linux and BSD and BeOS and DOS users? We can't run DirectX apps... Do you really want to exclude us? (just kidding...)

Seriously, maybe someone can code a logo generator in fasm and have it compile to a .BMP. Similar things have been done here in the past.

Effects and all are nice, but the more effect, the more quickly i get fed up with it. Don't just use them because you can.

Clean lasts longer imo Razz

k, sorry for directx, i guess OpenGL like matrix suggest should be available in all.

btw, how about a 3D program (be it directx or opengl or screensaver) that could show FASM logo and the color effect based on day, and time and month. so during feb valentine... it should colored pink and redish a bit Very Happy lol

well, i think (later) tonight if i couldn't feel sleep, i do a flash version Razz
