If you take a bootable floppy image, you can burn it to a CD-R or CD-RW by clicking on the make disk bootable option, available in most burn software.
The CD will then be bootable, it works by emulating a floppy, thats how most bootable CD work. PS: You can also do the same with a hdd image. |

Hi all!!!!
I am thinking of using C + ASM to code my kernel, I have DJGPP for Windows. I use GCC to compile and found a problem. When I link using LD to produce a flat binary output, the output always 1024 Bytes in size. also, there are always 90h (NOP) added. When I used Linux version, it didn't. How to solve this problem?? Can you suggest a better linker that support flat-binaries??? Thanks! _________________ If you want everything, you'll end up with nothing |
