why? with debug information file can grows twice or more

Yes, with the debug info, it saves the varible names, function names. It pretty much saves the source code into the exe. It is bloated, i know, but it will allow for a much easier dissassembly with IDA or other programs.

I don't know much about debug informations, but I noticed that my .exes contains only paths to source files, not the sources itself (otherwise it will get tens of megs in size). I use PDB format.
