I have been testing in the few days all the assemblers out there

MASM
FASM
NASM
GoASM
SpASM/RoASM

couldnt find GAS and dont have TASM

i have teste which one produce the best results in Win32 programming like
size of the compiled exe, speed, asm syntax, compiler features and etc...

I have developed a few years ago a game trainer engine in MASM and to confront all the compilers i have ported parts of my code to all of the above compilers syntax and compiled then... when i finish the tests i will post here the results and make a bundled package with the IDE and Compiler that have achieved the best results.

By now for complete that tests i must make a win32 program using resources with fasm... i have read on the fasm doc that it can produce mscoff output that can be linkeg with .rc but i didnt find any example and the doc is not clear enough .. can someone explain to me how can i compile and link with compiled resources a fasm compiled code? And also recommend a rc compiler and a linker...now im using alink and gorc for the compilers that dont have it owns linker and rc compiler..

Tnx in advance

check here for some information on using external resources from a .res file: http://board.flatassembler.net/topic.php?t=1611

www.godevtool.com has a free resource compiler and free linker that you may find useful, also the pelles' c package has a free linker
