Where would be the best place to start learning using DirectX's 3D methods in assembler to finally make a program with a 3D-triangle(polygon) in the middle of the screen?
It would be best if there were some example code, because I have nowhere to start:1)How to call DirectX 2)How to make a window to put it into 3)...something else:)

P.S.I don't want to use OpenGL!!! I know that its API & D3D is not, but that is why I need to learn D3D, so don't hold me back, but help me(if you can of course)

I don't NEED source code, it just helps me to understand the basics(not that D3D is basic) behind the DirectX. Well commented source is sometimes better than well documented commands.
I would just like to have the minimal code to show a window(or fullscreen) with DirecX interface. From there I can go further
Thanks in advance

I wouldn't have thought that one link could prove to be THAT useful. I got a DirectX window up & running in 5min Shocked
Thanks again, I wouldn't have found it myself would have I googled it or something. U gotta admit having an fASM forum inside a Win32ASM forum is very unlikely. If it only had been the first forum I had been to...but not Smile
