Hello Everyone,

I am the newest member of this message board (well, as of this writing).

I have been developing a partition table manager for the last couple of months or so. It started off pretty well, currently I am able to boot from a floppy, switch to protected mode, display messages to screen etc.

Next I would like to program floppy disk. Does anyone here can guide me to some good tutorial/article on programming FDC? I am not interested in BIOS INT13. I need real hardware programming, since I am in protected mode.

I have seen the data sheet for FDC, but looks pretty complicated. I did a lot of googling without much help. Any help (URL/Online docs/code) will be a great help.

Thanks,
Raghu

If you go here: http://bos.asmhackers.net/documents.php
to "BOS" web page, you find in the doc part, some pmode floppy driver code snips.
