Hi!
I have following problem:
when I try to compile a program, compiler returns the message:
error: out of memory.
I work on FASM 1.56 and kernel 2.4.18-bf2.4.
This problem has been happening since admin changed ulimits from unlimited to 20'000.
Is this problem bound to server or FASM? Can I fix it somehow?
Thx in advance.

Run it with -m switch.
fasm -m <how many bytes allocate> source output

Actually that doesn't always work. I can't get FASM for DOS to assemble under Linux, even after trying dozens of settings for -m. I always get an "out of memory" error.

I've set -m 1000 and it compiles correctly.
Hope it will work with other, more sophisticated programs Wink.
Thanks!

I can't do this under FreeBSD too. No matter I use Linux version or FreeBSD version (which I'm sure is capable to allocate even 64MB).
