Hi Privalov!

What do you think of syntax highlighting of text in the code-tags here on the forum? I've started on a function in PHP to do it... (It currently highlights everything except from numbers...)

(...Sendt by mail to Privalov......)

Regards,
Tommy

Yes, but it's a bit more complicated to accomplish - if you have time to do it yourself, I can send you the sources of current PHP function that formats code for the board, so you could extend it with syntax highlighting and send me back. The shouldn't be a really big problems with it (you'll see if you take a look at that function), but I simply don't have time for it right now.

If you can make it you will have the first on-line assembler IDE. Tommy's hilighter + few functions for loading source and edit - something like on-line html editors. Actually I don't know is this will be useful, but the idea is interesting as mind game. Wink

BTW: I have a sugestion for the forum. I am talking about edit window where the user writes the post. (I am writing now in this edit window) OK, why not set his font to fixed-width font instead of proportional. It doesn't matter for normal postings, but when I post code, it's very hard to format it properly. Now I am write the code in FASMW and copy/paste in browser, but it is not very convenient.

regards.

JohnFound, this is useful indeed: one of the features I have dreamed on when I was waiting on airport in a flight delay. Some of the internet points don't allow to install fasm on local.
