You can apply for free php5 hosting at Dotgeek if you are a PHP Developer (everyone is welcome even beginners). The Dotgeek Hosting package includes 15 MB of space, yourname.dotgeek.org, 1 email address, NEW!! MySQL Database PostgreSQL database, SQLite database and ftp access in the dotgeek server (Oc48&T3 redundant backbone) and access to all the PEAR stable packages.

the "*Authorisation Key (required when monthly slots are exhausted)" can apperantly be found on the welcome message to theur IRC channel, there´s a message about it on the forum.
I´ve not tested the host, but it seems to be nice, and no banners.

Do you have a broadband connection? You can always host yourself.

heh heh. If you're cave had braodband, would the hieroglyphics load faster on the cave wall? Razz

Well, do you own a domain name? If so, I can always offer you some free space. Or if you don't have a domain name, I can make you a subdomain from one of mine.

Anyway, good luck in your quest. Cool

well, i don't need those latest tocha-matcha super-duper database, and i don't plan to reach mars :p

btw, is it ur own host (home or etc), or you host the domain on some paid webspace? it would be really nice if it is ur own host :p so u have total control of everything :-p and hopefully we could test lot of things together Smile

I answered your pm. Tell me if you got it 'cuz my browser did some crazy things when I hit submit. Confused

Yes, my own servers and my own dns servers too. They are all on comercial grade boad band. I don't pay for hosting. I only pay the extra for comercial grade bandwidth and static ip addresses. Very convienient as we have way too many domains to pay some one else to do it.

Yes, I'd like to do some experimenting. That would be cool.

Is there such thing as a free non bannered webhost that supports PHP and has unlimited bandwidth?

Im currently with Angeltowns after scrapping Bravenet and my ISP (Virgin net) offers poorer webspace than Angeltowns and has a bandwidth limit as bad as Bravenet.

I hate having to use two browsers to create my sites and finding that they look fine in one browser and completley screwed up in the other so i'll use PHP, but i dont want to have to download it for Angeltowns

Is the T35 cool? I think I'll try it... I was just looking at the page, where can I create my login? I just didn't found it.

Thanks!

Hello
OzzY,
yeah, i think its cool, but not for storing binaries, you have a 250KB filesize limit anyway,
do you have difficulties finding the signup?
good free webhosts are often gone, free.angeltowns.com is bannerless and may suit your needs, or you can use some bannered hosting for binaries.
look at the first page of this thread ...
