They should spread some useful programs like calculators and
show users helpful tips (NOT ad-pop-ups) and use as less resources
as possible while being as USEFUL as one resource-hungry-less virus

When you first posted this 'menuet virus' i was totally against writing a virus for menuet, because i didn't think it would bring any progress or 'good things'. But now it's clear that everybody can learn from the commented code you provided. When i read your articles, i read the words of somebody who doesn't want to destroy or cripple menuetos, i read the words of a guy that's really interested in this os. (and coding in general)

I hope the rough translation from my language to this engrish isn't to bad, and thank you for sharing your articles!

Me and some mates from a 2600 meet I used to attend before I moved were toying with the idea of a self updating viral OS. Obviously it would have to have apps supporting most major file types before it went wild so people could still use their files but we thought it was a cool idea. You could even do it so it only replaced DOS or Windows (not server editions though) for example

I must point out though that although a cool idea we decided we couldn't really support all the obscure bespoke systems used in lots of businesses so it was not an idea we should persue. Unless prison sounds appealling to you DO NOT even attempt to make such an OS it could potentially result in deaths if the wrong systems were infected. Just thought it demonstrated Madis's point about useful virii nicely.

Hey!, SPTH, why don't write a good tutorial about the secrets of MenuetOS and how to improve it; and don't use your talent to write viruses ?.
In the M$ world there is a "reason" to try to become discredited to Bill, he has a lot of enemies; but MenuetOS is a free open source project. So help to improve it and please don't attack it.
