AFAIK the prototype was JudasPlayed (also for DOS).

Ivan's player works through ports C000, C400 (for me) which aren't accesible in official distro.

I did not know "JudasPlayed" could play wav's, any way the AC97 part of that is based on "jeff leyda" code Wink.

You can get your vendor id etc, from here ,if you know what soundcard is on your pc.

My program is based on (1) AC'97 ICH2 player for DOS by Jeff Leyda and (2) ichinit for DOS. I also used some code from BeOS driver.

>> AFAIK the prototype was JudasPlayed (also for DOS).
No, Judas Player is another program and it should work with ich4.
I don't know why, but I can't get it to work with ICH4. Sad

I didn't know how to search the database but the closest match I found is
0x199B Maestro-3.COMM PCI Voice+audio 0x125D ESS Technology
but My Computer says it is:
ESS Maestro3 PCI Audio (WDM)
I don't know what that COMM means behind that "Maestro-3." and Voice? Is it like a microphone?

Madis731,
your vendor ID is 0x125D
your device ID is 0x199B

Ivan Poddubny, Y do you not add a user input, so people can type in there vendor/device ID's and try them, that way a list of all compatable vendors will come about ?.
