pleasant is whatever you want. Remember, in a virtual world, you can have anything you want.

@revolution: but rationally you would know that you could do the same things IN the matrix (as illusion), but without possible side-effects -- for example, like getting caught & tortured or something. (of course NONE of your actions would actually affect the world, but you don't care anyway).

Things "without possible side-effects" are generally boring. No challenge whatsoever if you know that there is nothing at stake. No sense of adventure. No sense of accomplishment. No fun.

from my 'point of view' that's false, i.e.

If in a 'virtual world', i want to create a 'real world', i can't.

Meanwhile in a 'real world' if i want to make a virtual one, i will!

=D.

if somehow we dead, and we found another world,
how would we convinced it is real?
Perhaps there would be another method of dying there.
And as long u r consicous there, with all ur memories here brought there, obviously,u would be really sceptical.
And i really wonder for those who think they will see angels when they r dead.fucking no way, this is a giant system that only a few people r aware.
Everthing could be illusion as long as we are conscious.

But you wouldn't know that, you just wouldn't get tortured if caught. Or you WOULD get tortured, if that's what you REALLY want (the matrix has places for emos too Wink).

How many games do you play so that, if you lose, you feel pain? Would you play them BECAUSE of that? (and the thrill of not losing, for instance)

And there's no difference, in perception between a virtual world and a real world -- at least I'm assuming a virtual world like Matrix obviously.

OK, if we are talking about painting on the paper then you can:
  • paint the background region with a black ink and then draw on it with a correction fluid,

  • draw all lines which have to be white with the melted wax and then paint the background with a black ink.

The game of life.

If that is the case then your argument above is nullified because if you can't tell that you are in a Matrix then you won't know about any pill to take you out of there. How would you know that taking the red pill actually worked? Maybe the Matrix just emulated the whole thing to make you think you had escaped. This is essentially an unsolvable problem, you have no way of objectively testing where you are.

Because if you take the blue pill your memory will be erased (that you had the choice to take it). Wink

memories... i guess i am getting more confuse ever with life.
maybe that explain why certain people willing to die for an answer.

truth, what is truth, who can tell me the truth, but truth can never be told, they said truth is through discovery.

sweet and pain memories, what if one diagnosed with alzheimer's disease? how to accept what your past been doing when you totally have no idea what is happening or any reasons associated.

what if i forgot everything. where am my previous i then.

I really need to find the meaning of life. Otherwise, my life would be meaningless! Wink

The meaning of life is just what you give it. End of debate! Wink

It could. If you're near death and look at what you accomplished and said to yourself "I was blind to my enjoyments only", technically your life was meaningless. Razz

Okay, here it is, for all those the feel the need to have someone tell them the meaning of life.

Are you ready? ....

Here it comes ....

"Be happy, don't worry, have fun, enjoy yourself."

There, now you know. And if someone else tells you it is something different then they are wrong.

5 years past since thread started.
I back to home town and just bike around some lanes that i havent visited for around 10 years. I saw more houses, wider road.
It only resemble a bit compare to my memories. Lot of changes.
Lots of uncollected memories fall back when i bike the road that i used to go daily during school days.
Life, some time when you really ponder bout it could be meaningless.
I saw people that i knew since kid, they are getting old.
Someday, i would become old like them.
Girl that last time i thought she is quite nice and pretty, now look aged a bit.
The whole crap is, the system tries it best to let us know, everything change.
