It looks pretty good to me, though there's only one virus for Menuet and no one really seems to be infected by it Smile

I might end up using the code as a basis for an antivirus for an operating system that I'm developing though... You did a great job on this one!

It might not be very useful yet, but if more viruses for Menuet are written, it will become a valuable tool.

I've tested it at two different PCs and at both it worked! I've also tested about 10 different infected files, and the tool works!

when a normal user opens a normal infected file!

let's say anybody would make a new program, and the guy is evil, then opens the virus, the program is infected. then the evil guy uploads the infected program. then users get infected...

That is hilarious.

So what if the guy wasn't evil? Would the file still get infected?

So let me get this straight, when somebody opens a file that has the virus then the file that they opened(the one with the virus) is infected?

I think he was asking how the virus is spread to other files. Or if it is at all. If all your program does is infect already infected files, please feel free to make more viruses like this. Maybe we can make more viruses behave like.

I think it is kind of neat how the files are only infected if the guy is evil. Mind letting us know what algorithm you used to determine whether or not the person running the program is evil? Is it a yes or no answer, or is it based on if the person is over 60% evil then the virus will spread?

ignorance and lazyness:
if you want to know anything about the virus, just disassemble the code (at my homepage) and discover it by yourself!
