could you post the code for the win32 version ?
i have been looking for a mp3 player in asm.
i did start coding one myself a few months back
and it only handled WAV files. i never got round to mp3 or OGG
so i scrapped it.

simple mp3 player for win32 is quite easy, look at the mciSendString api in winmm.dll

there is an example on iczelions site too: http://spiff.tripnet.se/~iczelion/files/mp3demo.zip

He refers to the code in asm to handle mp3 files, not a wrapper to a win32 library (as it will be useless in MenuetOS)

Maybe try old mpg123 linux player? Sources on C are included, and mp3 decoder is in separate file, so it won't be very hard to use it.

Therefore, the next logical step is to write M$ and ask for the source code of their MP3 library thing... yeah right Very Happy

I have posted a link to asm decode code ( for dos ) here: http://board.flatassembler.net/topic.php?t=3380&start=25

The only part you need is the decoder (which is in asm) the rest in C you do not need as its just loading etc.
