I'm doing something specific with a batch file that requires the use of a

"Copy /b ..." in its script

But my early version of ibm pc dos does not have that feature.

That little thing is a problem.

I'm either looking for a version of copy.exe that exists on its own & has those functions,

Or a 360 kilio-byte 5.25" boot disk that I can use instead.

I'm betting the latter is easier.

Do you still need it to support for 360KB 5.25"? If not, have a look at RAWRITE.

"copy /b" and "copy *.img files onto floppy disk" aren't the same thing (assuming you have an exact track-by-track floppy image).

they are not related.

I'm talking about how to load an img file onto floppy b: using dos.
because there is no other way i can do it

unless there is a self extracting exe of msdos5.0 on 360k that i can run in dos
instead.

or one that I can make using sydex tools, which i would do myself if i knew which one.
