I've seen other code around that can compile to almost raw assembly without any of the normal C startup or initialisation code included.

yep, i have used gcc to compile flat images for os dev, no libs, no entry code, no stack, no nothing
see flags -nostdlib -nostdinc -fno-builtin -ffreestanding

Actually it still is on my master TODO list, though it has kept getting bumped downward in priority. Business has been exceptional since I did these so haven't had a lot of spare time to dedicate to my OSS or the site. I'll try and shift it upward Smile

I wouldn't mind doing another terminal video or two anyway. Smile

That's great to hear! Your terminal videos have been really inspiring, and I'm sure many others would be excited for a third part. But of course, I understand how busy things can get. We all appreciate the effort you put into your open-source projects and the site.
