On DOS or Windows:
  • Start the IDE - FASMW.EXE in Windows or FASMD.EXE in DOS.
  • Press F4 to look for a file to open. Navigate to SOURCE/IDE/FASMW/FASMW.ASM or SOURCE/IDE/FASMD/FASMD.ASM depending on which one you use.
  • Press F9 to assemble it and execute a new copy, or Ctrl+F9 to just assemble.

On any system that has a console version of fasm:
  • Just run fasm with a path to fasm.asm as an argument. Select one appropriate for you system, like source/Linux/fasm.asm, source/Win32/fasm.asm, etc.
