Is this error happening, when you load FASMW, or when you perform some operation with it? And what's that strange XML file?

Well er..the xml file the typical M$ XP style of error/bug collection mechanism.
Actually whenever I click on the fasmw.exe this error is coming up and fasm is closing down. I have one GeForce and the detonator drivers installed, so the nview.dll, and it must be causing some of the problems. I got this error at eventviewer: "Faulting application fasmw.exe, version 0.90.0.0, faulting module nview.dll, version 6.13.10.3082, fault address 0x00009d6f." I tried to disable that but no improvement. Could you suggest me something? Thanks. |

Oh, I see how you got it, but in XP I'm using I usually get much more detailed report in the form of clean text, and this XML is not so useful.
And the whole error is strange, as it visibly occurs inside the nview.dll - it seems that fasmw demands from graphics library something that your driver doesn't like, but I have no idea what can it be. Please try running the Fresh project (you can download it from this messageboard), does it cause the same error (as it is using the same edit control)? |

The Fresh project ? Sure I will and let you know, but is it a new fasm?

Nop! It didn't work...the same error with nview.dll, tried AsmEdit separately, the same error.
Should I try changing the version of detonator drivers? Anyone here uses them? Which version Thanks. |

I have a nVidia card (GeForce2 MX200) to no problems, I have version 6.14.10.4403 of the drivers, no problem (don't use XP thought). _________________ ... a professor saying: "use this proprietary software to learn computer science" is the same as English professor handing you a copy of Shakespeare and saying: "use this book to learn Shakespeare without opening the book itself. - Bradley Kuhn |

Windows XP, GeForce2 MX 400, FASM 1.48:
- standard windows drivers - no problems - after installing Detonators (the newest I've download today) - no problems So probably it isn't FASM fault. |

Phew! Thanks guys, it ultimayely did work!
The Deronator diver set was not the problem though, some other systray app. ______________________________________________ Quote: So probably it isn't FASM fault. ______________________________________________ I was sure of that, all I wanted some direction. Thans a lot anyway to all of you. Nice people here. By the way, could you people guide me to some FASM tuts on windowz console? Also do you people have any NASM style manual? That would be a good starting point for me, I guess. |

Privalov is currently writing FASM tut. But I think it will take him a while when he will write some about Windows (but maybe Privalov isn't one man. Maybe he is an army. Then he will write in today )
You can read Iczelion's tutorials. FASM sources are somewhere here. |
