This release is because of two changes:

1. Fixed major bug, crashing the IDE on SaveAs dialog, only in Windows 10.
2. Updating FASM compiler to v1.73.2

In addition, some minor fixes in the help files have been made.

Download as always on the Fresh IDE download page.

Happy codding with Fresh IDE.

P.S. The mentioned bug was reported by the user Slava, but I never was able to reproduce it. The fix was produced using the reported stack dumps. Please, if someone can reproduce this bug on v2.6.1, report whether it is fixed now or not.

I haven't experienced crashes on Windows 10 yet - good job. Smile

Two ideas:

- Could Windows 10's Linux subsystem be integrated instead of andLinux? Basically, it comes with a bash.exe if installed...
- F12 does not work for me. I only get the source view.

Using Window 10's Linux subsystem is definitely planned, at least because andLinux and coLinux projects are dead. Unfortunately this features will be implemented very slow, simply because I don't have regular access to Windows 10. Also, recently I am working only on Linux machines, so I simply don't have enough motives to do this work. Smile

F12 is for switching between form GUI model and form source code. It works only on .frm visual form files. Do you mean that this feature does not work in Win10? If so, it is a bug and will be fixed.

John, if it helps, you can get a free 90-day VM from MS for Win10 at this site: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/tools/vms/

Well, I tested WSL and it seems it is not what will do the job. Because of the following:

Quote:
WSL currently only works on x64 systems, and only runs ELF-64 binaries.
We don’t currently have plans to support running ELF-32 binaries on WSL x64

As always, MS limits their users forcibly.

Ah, sorry - I tried it with "MainForm.asm" ... my fault!

No, not actually. Fossil version control can pack only zip and tar.gz files.

What is the problem with them?

Win10 Pro 64 latest update --IDE (FI 2.6.2) works fine; save as works as intended with new file names, overwrite; and everything else I could muster to throw at it.
