Sorry. Is any of the IDEs that you all call here a DOS application? I would really like to have an IDE of FASM for DOS. I'm using ASMEdit, but it is not specially designed for FASM. Cool

Hi.
Actually there is one project for DOS, but it is frozen now... Sad
Here is the file: http://board.flatassembler.net/download.php?id=169

It was intended to be a RAD tool for OS development, that to be able to compile, to boot and maybe to debug PM OS code, without exiting IDE.

If someone have an interest to develop this program, I can provide any help about internal structure, procedures etc.

Regards.

Wow! Cool IDE!

But, I'm running WinXP and symbol attributes are shifted (???) all around the screen in form of

Code:
NN@N@NNNNN@N@
@N@NNNNN@N@NN

N - normal
@ - shifted

Don't know how to show this more obvious...

This IDE (actually it is still not IDE, only partially implemented user interface) is intended to be used in pure DOS or even without OS. It uses very uncommon video mode (90x36 IIRC) with VGA card and character generator programming directly through IO ports. So, it is not strange if it works strange in XP (I am even surprised that you can start it at all.)

Regards

Well, the standard phrase: "it works for me". Wink The size of the "dos.rar" file is exactly 173048 bytes. If you downloaded the whole file, it is most likely it is OK. On other hand, maybe your unpacker doesn't support .rar files...

Regards.

I used Powerarchiever which I think supports rar-files among others formats as well. I will test the package with other packers! Thanx!! Smile
