Somehow i can't get rar to work on my Debian/Linux box. I much prefer tgz files anywho.

Well, my sugesstion: try to download latest "work" version instead of latest "official" - it is too outdated. (I will remove it from the site when I release next one.)
It is in .cab file. (Can you uncompress .cab's?)

For next published version I will try to make 2 formats - maybe .cab and .zip, maybe .cab and .tar.gz
