Anybody know where I can find some information on how to code up a ramdisk. Tutorial, sample code, preferably in assembler. 16-bit would be okay, I imagine the concepts are still the same. thanks

Linux, Freedos, or windows up to xp. I just need something to get me started. All my searches come up with is how to install one, not create it.

Anything mirrored by or for FreeDOS is hosted on iBiblio.org under /pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/. So, for future reference, that's where you should probably look first.

There is also an old Dr. Dobbs article (circa 1990) by Marcus Johnson: Writing MS-DOS Device Drivers
