A university degree is linked to a heightened risk of developing a brain tumor, suggests a large observational study. Gliomas, in particular, were more common among people who had studied at university for at least three years than they were among those who didn't go on to higher education, the data show.

So what is the conclusion there? That university grounds have unsafe levels of <something> that causes brain tumours? That listening to lecturers is somehow damaging to your brain? That worrying about ones grades creates damaging brain chemicals? Smart people think too hard? Spending too much time indoors creates brain problems? There could be a million things that are the real cause of the problem without is necessarily being associated with higher learning in particular. Twisted Evil

I think the problem is in the "University" not in education (the study assumes one can get education in University only, or am I mistaken?!).

Then one can safely consider I am not educated, as I did not go to school/university to get education.

Lacks credibility, in my opinion.

YONG, I haven't even watched the first one - just seen clips.

My hypothesis is that thought patterns create stagnant flows within brain chemistry coupled with a diet high in toxins, leading to brain ailments. Which thought patterns, toxins, or regions effected were not part of this "research". And, if true, would certainly not be restricted to higher education.

Probably.

Stress and anxiety, caused by an unbearable amount of assignments, projects, exams, and so on, might be the co-factors. Overloading of the brain, coupled with insufficient sleep and rest, could be the actual trigger.
