I am really happy that my favorite national football (soccer) team has just beaten the toughest opponent, Chile, in the group:

Hope that Argentina can go all the way to win this tournament!

In Europe we have EURO2016 championship. Some teams from Euroland will play with. Poland has Germany in it's intial group. This team is really hard to defend. AFAIK in our soccer history we have only one time won with Germany. I suggest all to wish good luck team from my country.

Poland defended very well, and should have won this game against Germany if Arkadiusz Milik had converted the best chance of the game into a goal:

Yeah, Messi is in top form right now.

The only thing that worries me is that United States has two more rest days. And of course, 99% of the local fans support their home team. So, Argentina will have to give everything but the kitchen sink in order to beat the host in the semi-finals.

Hope that Argentina can go all the way to win this tournament!

Yes, I am also cheering for Argentina, however I just watched Chile play a very confident game. Kind of worries me now.

Given Chile's strong attacking prowess, Colombia will definitely play a highly-defensive game with occasional counter-attacks. The game will probably be low-scoring and eventually decided by penalty kicks. We will see.

The 4-0 scoreline summarized the game -- Argentina just outplayed United States by a mile.

Hope that Argentina can go all the way to win this tournament!

Poland national team has positive balance. AFAIK ( Just tell me if I am wrong) we lost only one soccer game with Swiss. The rest team from my country wins or tie. Smile

Congratulations to Poland's fans. Their national team is through to the quarter-finals for the very first time.

The game against Portugal will be a really tough one. Let's see whether Poland can fend off Cristiano Ronaldo's attacking prowess.

SIGH!

My favorite national team got defeated in the final. This is the third time in three years.

What really upset me was that Argentina had the chance to win but they did not take it.

Chile missed their first penalty kick, which was a rare event. Then, if Messi had converted, Argentina would have had the lead. But his kick was TERRIBLE!
